We all know Biden is a great man. His longevity in politics, his role in the Obama administration, his progressive legislative achievements (Violence Against Women Act). He hasn’t been perfect in 40+ years, but there is no one more knowledgeable about the workings of the government than Joe Biden.
So far, he has ran a near-perfect campaign in difficult circumstances, made great speeches when needed, projected a calm, rational face to the world. Much like FDR, in the midst of the depression reassured a country, and used that trust to lead us through WW II. FDR was in poor health in his final term, yet still delivered a victory for the Allies.
What if Biden is our next FDR. He seems to have risen to the occasion, and whatever shakiness was there at the beginning of the campaign is gone. He appears rock solid and ready to lead. His instincts politically and with policy have been nearly perfect. He attracts good people (the mark of a good leader and President) and knows to listen to them. Ted Kaufman, his longtime Chief of Staff, is a true progressive Warren-type Democrat and will have a major influence on Joe.
So far Biden has got this. What if he really does have it and we are witnessing something we have not seen — even from Clinton and Obama — someone who will be seen as a Top 5 President when the dust settles, who will be a wonder and a joy to witness his execution of his office of President.
