So What's Kathleen Sebelius Been Up To?

Any doubters that Kathleen Sebelius isn't the real thing do not have the opportunity to observe her effectiveness as Governor of Kansas.
Today, she vetoed a bill requiring photo ID for voting:
Concerning the voter ID legislation, Sebelius said "HB 2019 seeks to solve a problem of voter fraud which does not exist in our state due to the tireless efforts of our local elected officials."
She said the voter ID proposal wasn’t needed and "will only work to disenfranchise many of the electorate and serve as a barrier to their participation in the democratic process."
More of Sebelius walking the walk on the flip...
Remember Sebelius is Governor of Kansas, facing near veto-proof margins of Republicans in the KS House and Senate. But that does not deter her:
A big utility wanted to build a coal-fired plant in far western Kansas, putting 100% of the pollution back into Kansas, but selling 80% of the power out west. Sebelius vetoed the bill 3 times.
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius has for the third time vetoed a bill to allow two coal-fired power plants in southwest Kansas and limit the power of the regulator who has blocked their construction.
She also criticized legislators Friday for tying the plants to economic development projects in other parts of the state. Supporters had hoped the tactic would pressure her to let the bill become law or lure enough votes to override a potential veto — neither of which happened.
"Rather than working toward a compromise solution, legislative leaders recklessly chose to jeopardize important initiatives for businesses and communities across our state by combining them with energy legislation I have previously vetoed twice," Sebelius wrote in her veto message.
This is how it has been for 6 years, folks- Sebelius standing up when it counted (she vetoed conceal-carry) and playing the right politics in the run-up, then making the Republicans pay. Very... Obama-like. Very... Presidential (Vice Presidential).
PS And don't forget her dad was a popular Governor of Ohio.
